0039 Firefox Maze

0039 Firefox Maze - I was an employee of Mozilla back in 2016. I was the lead engineer for the server side Crash Reporting System called Socorro. My world was shaken in that era by the discovery that I could draw. Later that year, on personal leave, I started fervently drawing mazes. In the previous years with the company, I drank deeply from the font of Mozilla Koolaid and, as programmer, work was never far away in my mind. In celebration of my employer, I drew the Firefox maze.

On returning from leave just before the All Hands meeting of that year, I conspired with Les Orchard to make this maze into a Web game playable within the browser. I no longer have the code, so I don't don't know if it exists anywhere. We introduced it at the All Hands to modest acclaim.

I printed a copy of the maze in large format (3600cm²). Chris Beard, then CEO of Mozilla, framed it and kept in on his office wall for the remainder of his tenure with the company.

I left Mozilla by mutual agreement at the beginning of 2020. Because it is a corporate logo, and I'm no longer associated with the company, I do not sell copies of this maze.

The complete image posted here is only 16% of the full resolution of the original from which I have made prints. In full resolution, it prints spectacularly well at sizes beyond 3600cm².
